I am going on vacation and am trying to find pet sitter for my dog. Is there someone or a boarding area that I could take her? She is a super sweet dog. Thanks for the help in advance.

Since I assume you don't want to travel too far with your dog, would you care to place some geographical restrictions on your question? There are many excellent petsitters and boarding kennels, and some of them are probably further away than you're going on your vacation (unless you're planning a round-the-world trip).

My dog has a plastic dog bowl and I find that the water in it goes a funny color

Plastic dog bowls are quite cheap however I wouldn't recommend using them. Plastic absorbs toxins and this could cause health problems for your dog. Also dogs are natural chewers and they will more than likely chew a plastic bowl when left to their own devises. I would invest a bit more money on a metal dish, they are clean, long lasting, indestructible and safe.

Canine carry out dog treats bad for pet?

Propylene glycol is a controversial additive used to help preserve the moisture content in some commercial dog foods. You may already recognize this chemical by its more "infamous" use: as the key component in newer automotive antifreeze. However, propylene glycol is considerably safer (less toxic) than its far more dangerous cousin - ethylene glycol. Yet because of its proven ability to cause a serious type of blood disease - Heinz body anemia - propylene glycol has been banned by the FDA for use in cat food. However, it can still be used to make dog food. I PERSONALY WOULD NOT GIVE IT TO MY PET.
